Here's how HiveDrive typically works:

1. Download the HiveDrive App from the Apple store at: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hivedrive/id6459023731

2. Parents or guardians create a household account, providing the required information (i.e. home address, phone number, etc…). The parent setting up the Household is the Household administrator and they are the only people who can make changes to the Household account.

Parents then invite the additional household drivers and children to join the household via a shareable code that is sent via text. Please note, you must be over 18 to set up a household, if under 18, the minor can send their parent or guardian the link to the app.

3. Once a household is set up, kids can download the HiveDrive app via the code they have received from their parent or guardian.

4. Then, parents and/or kids can invite people to their Hive (aka the group of kids that will require transportation and their designated household drivers) via a shareable code that is send via text.

5. Once the Hive is set up, a ride request can be initiated. All of the designated household drivers are all notified of a ride request. An in-app chat allows for all of the kids in the Hive and their designated household drivers to communicate about the need for carpooling. The chat feature also allows a parent to claim the ride and it allows all parents to stay in touch with their kids and the carpool driver. This in app chat function enables updates, clarifications, or any necessary adjustments to the carpool arrangements.

6. Once all kids have been dropped off, the carpool driver can end the ride and all households will be notified.
